Won the 28th Kodansha Manga Award in Sh?nen Manga for his series, “Shana-ou Yoshitsune,” where Hiraizumi features prominently.
His other works include “Sanzoku-ou” and “Kazenari no Sakon.”
His continuation of Shana-ou, “Genpei no Gassen,” is currently published in Gekkan Shonen Magazine.
The first time I went to Morioka to try the wanko soba, I said to the server, “It just tastes better this way, doesn’t it!”, but he shut me down with “Nope! It’s the same noodles!”
